Both organizations were awarded Gold MarCom awards during the MarCom Awards 2022 international creative competition, presented by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP) for campaigns aimed to increase engagement at key points in their prospects journeys.

Gold MarCom 1: A Winning College Enrollment Campaign

The Gold MarCom Award honored the direct mail campaign MDT Marketing and the Aviation Institute of Maintenance designed to encouraged high school seniors to tour the college.
How did they personalize a direct mail campaign? The design added more than just the prospect’s name, it included the newest technology for higher education – personalized video. To keep with the effort of creating personalized and authentic communications, a QR code was added to offer a digital element to the postcard design. By scanning the QR code the recipient had the chance to watch a personalized video on their phone or tablet which offered personalized insights about the school.

Gold MarCom 2: Personalization Done Right

The Gold MarCom Award honored the beautifully designed and personalized Summer Institute program that was put together by the Alliance for Innovation & Transformation and MDT Marketing.
What did the personalization accomplish? Each program was designed and printed to include a specific attendee’s name along with a special personalized video example featuring them on the back. The outcome was excitement from attendees who said, “it makes me feel seen.”
